Friendliness of staff, their willingness to help.Spa and gym facilities were excellent. Car parking service.
Unfortunately during my stay the pool deck was closed. It would have been beneficial to have known about this prior to my check in as it may have changed my decision to stay there. In addition on 2 out of the 3 nights of my stay my TV didn't work correctly - no video on demand. Although an alternative was offered in the form of a DVD player - to have a fault 2 nights running and not to be informed about it was frustrating.

There wasn't much I liked. It was pay pay pay for everything. No baths only showers in my room so I had to bathe baby in shallow sink.

Wonderful hotel, the staff were all outstandingly accommodating and amiable and the location was excellent additional to having wonderful facilities for events. Location: the property was near the restaurant, the centre, and the cafe. Tried some nice meals at Fareground, located extremely close to the hotel.

Great location, modern decor. Hip.
Not worth the price tag. The rooms were small and there were no drawers to put our clothes. We stayed for two nights, the little basket is a joke. For $300+ a night I was expecting to have at least one full size drawer. For a modern hotel to not have wireless internet included in room is frankly a nuisance.

great walking access to parks and landmarks in downtown austin
I enjoyed staying here for three nights, as it was just a short walk to both Auditorium Shores at Town Lake Metropolitan Park and the historic Driskill Hotel, perfect spots for urban strolls and enjoying beautiful views. The hotel also had a cozy atmosphere that suited our group well. One area for improvement, though, would be more proactive communication from the reception staff, but overall, it didn't overshadow the enjoyable experience we had walking around the city.

The w in Austin is unlike any hotel I have ever stayed. This is a unique hotel with really experienced, dedicated and courteous staff. The hotel itself is stunning but the staff are the real standout!

It was impossible! The room was 1/2 the size of the room on a cruise ship -- and I don't mean a luxury ship. Just a normal ship. And the bathroom was smaller than a guest bathroom. And there wasn't any place to stow away my bathroom things or my underwear. And the shower (which is one of the reasons I chose w) was laughable -- 1/2 the size of a regular tub. The other half of the coin was the hotel staff. They without exception were wonderful. And the trace in the first floor was wonderful. If you took all the staff and the trace staff and put them somewhere else the trip would have been wonderful. ***These things I did not like in the "w"***

Staff were absolutely wonderful. Facilities were beautiful. View was fabulous.
We had trouble with internet and had to spend time on the phone with their tech to get it working. We also had to have an engineer come up to the room to connect the cable to the tv. Everyone was very helpful, but it still took time and was annoying.

The hotel's location was great and the staff were genuinely helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, the pool area felt neglected, with murky water and a chaotic check-in experience. Still, the cleanliness of the room and attentive service made for a decent stay overall.

We hit up some live music shows and vibed at the nearby outdoor pool. The location was perfect for exploring all the lively spots, especially during the festival. Definitely a must-stay for a fun group trip!
One downside was our check-in experience. The front desk had some mix-ups with our room keys, frustrating after a long day of travel.
